I have B450m/ac AMD 5600x Oloy 8gb 3200mhz x2 Windows 10
System defaults to 2666mhz ram speed. any attempts to change this result in boot straight to bios or faiure to post at all.
attempted to upgrade to win 11. TPM 2.0 worked, but if I secure boot enable, boots straight to bios
updated bios to 2.90 Even though it says win11 compatible, secure boot is disabled by default. But It says I must disable compatibility mode to enable secure boot. As soon as i disable compatibility mode, the system begins booting directly to bios, even after enabling secure boot and reenabling compatibility mode.
So here I am. 5 hours in and I've achieved nothing but a bios upgrade. If I bump XMP to 3200mhz (ram speed) it boots straight to bios. If I try to enable secure boot to qualify for win11 it boots straight to bios. If I reset bios to uefi defaults windows starts fine. (I've had to manually reset bios a few times.) what's the secret code?

Try increasing the voltage for the ram. If you are using an XMP profile then it probably already did. Maybe your power supply is not big enough.
I've never heard of Oloy ram but they have a website: https://www.oloymemory.com" rel="nofollow - https://www.oloymemory.com :-)

Update: I still can't enable safe booting
Put in a different set of memory (3600mhz), this seems to have fixed the occasional windows boot hang.
I shoehorned in another PS (biggest I had that will fit in this case @750w
XMP appears to be working now, still testing, but safe boot is still a no go.

Secure Boot? I turn it off but I don't use Windows. :-) It is quite the pain.
Keep trying different BIOS settings I guess.
