I have the following specification:
ASRock X670E Pro RS AMD Ryzen 7 7700X ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING Twin Edge LHR 8GB (GPU) Corsair Vengeance DDR5 2x16GB 5200 C40 (RAM) Corsair Hydro Series iCUE H115i PRO XT RGB 970 Evo Plus (NVMe M2. SSD) Corsair RM750x (750W PSU) OS: Windows 10, x64
All drivers are up to date and BIOS for mobo has been flashed to 1.09 (latest). Nothing is overclocked, I have tried both with XMP and without for the RAM.
RAM is on QVL
I have made sure that the power management is on "Performance" so no throttling that I am aware of.
Temperatures are fine for all components, really low.
Running games I get serious stuttering and distorted sound (sometimes full device slowdown).
To debug I got LatencyMON which confirmed my machine has a DPC latency issue.
Driver that has the highest DPC is nvlddmkm.sys, so my NVIDIA driver. Downgrading it doesn't help, I still get high DPC.
Any advice? Is this just a new platform thing that will probably get solved with BIOS updates or is this an RMA?

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________ CONCLUSION _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One or more DPC routines that belong to a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates. LatencyMon has been analyzing your system for 1:26:45 (h:mm:ss) on all processors.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________ MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The interrupt to process latency reflects the measured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardware request from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. This includes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the signaling of an event and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state in response to that event.
Highest measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 4371.10 Average measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 3.833377
Highest measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 4369.10 Average measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 1.270482
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________ REPORTED ISRs _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Interrupt service routines are routines installed by the OS and device drivers that execute in response to a hardware interrupt signal.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________ REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hard pagefaults are events that get triggered by making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by a memory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefault requires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted and blocked from execution.
NOTE: some processes were hit by hard pagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely to interrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check the Processes tab to see which programs were hit.
Process with highest pagefault count: msmpeng.exe
Total number of hard pagefaults 42507 Hard pagefault count of hardest hit process: 18219 Number of processes hit: 68

Hi there,
Had help from ASRock support...very quick, so thank you.
The issue, however, was me. I had installed my AIO incorrectly so my chip was probably overheating. I can ignore the Latency Mon report and assume all will be well. No issues after relocating my AIO radiator and hooking up the fans correctly...
