Hi, Re: UEFI Version: Z77 Extreme3 P1.10, motherboard-asrock-Z77Extreme3 Manuals read: "Z77 Extreme3 User Manual" and "Guide to SATA Hard Disks Installation and RAID Configuration" I installed two hard disk drives. Then I set the necessary RAID items in the BIOS (according to the User Manual). I booted the system and pressed <F2> key to enter BIOS setup utility. I highlighted Advanced and pressed <Enter>, then the main interface of BIOS setup utility appeared. I set the option Configure SATA to [RAID]. I saved my changes and exited the BIOS. I rebooted a few times and confirmed the setting saved correctly in the BIOS. But, I still do not see Intel RAID BIOS with the option to press <Ctrl+I>. How do I configure the Intel RAID BIOS? I don't see the RAID software prompt when I reboot. Thank you.

If you see the Intel RAID software prompt when the PC starts, which is usually not displayed, the only way to do that is to be sure you have the AddOn ROM Display option enabled in the UEFI/BIOS, in the Boot screen. You may also need to have the Full Screen Logo option enabled for this option to work. If you have the Fast Boot option set to anything except Disabled, that will cause any prompts like this to be skipped. Regardless, you do not need to wait for a prompt to enter the <Ctrl+I> keys. Just like you can press the Del or F2 keys to enter the UEFI/BIOS UI, multiple times while the PC is starting, you should do that to start the Intel RAID BIOS. The <Ctrl+I> keys input is looked for at the same time as the Del or F2 key input is, and the Intel RAID BIOS can be accessed only before the UEFI/BIOS UI is available. Also, if you have the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver and utility package installed, which you should if you are using RAID, you can run the IRST Windows utility, and create and manage RAID arrays with it. The Windows software has the same if not more options than the RAID BIOS does, and is easier to use. Of course if you are using the RAID array for your OS drive, using the RAID BIOS may be your only option. ------------- http://valid.x86.fr/48rujh" rel="nofollow">
