Hi guys I have z170 extreme 6 with 6600k and evga GeForce 970. MB bios is latest (2.50) same with gpu bios. My monitor is full hd and I use dvi to connect it. But I have problem with hd in bios, resolution is set to 1024x768, and I have 2 options HD auto or off, both of them give me 1024x768.

Any way to fix that?

That is strange, never heard of anyone having this problem.

The Auto setting should give you the HD resolution, 1080P. The full HD UEFI feature is not new, it goes back as far as the ASRock X99 and other Intel 9 series chipset boards, Z97, etc.

I use two EVGA 960 video cards, and some older models like a 760, with my ASRock boards. Some of the connections to my monitors are using DVI-D connections, and full HD UEFI always works. It works with the Intel integrated graphics too.

I'm not aware of any requirements for the video source and cabling to support full HD UEFI, besides HD support of the video source and monitor.

Are you using the DVI-I or DVI-D output on your video card?

What is the exact model number of your monitor? It supports full HD at least, right?

My monitor is LG IPS 23EA63.

I use DVI-D cable.

Weird think is in UEFI when I check resolution on my monitor it says 1920x1080

But UEFI say 1024x768. So maybe its really HD:)

But another problem with motherboard is I have random freezes in UEFI, any fix for that?
