Anyone know what the January BIOS update for the z790 boards fixes? For some boards, this is BIOS 5.x, but for one board I saw it numbered as 6.x. (Why Asrock would have inconsistent numbering like that within a single chipset line is baffling.)

This BIOS update is labeled as fixing "13.3 sidepanel kit" (which I don't have) but also, "Intel Microcode Update". Do I need that microcode update? What does it fix?

I have updated my Asrock Z790 Taichi to 5.x
Not so satisfied as now my cpu goes to 100C in high end custom loop with 2 360 radiators.
Previous i had 4.1x and in same settings inhad max 90C.
So better stick with your curent bios
