Hello, so, I recently upgraded to ryzen 7600x using the b650m pg riptide motherboard. During boot, I get no video output during the splash screen and no POST as a result. I tried booting into bios or at least get into the boot menu but no dice. The keyboard and mouse are responsive at that time.

I then took advantage of the flashback feature to update my bios, which did work (led was blinking at first, then it stopped blinking after some minutes, as per the guide thing). I still have the same problem. Updated every driver I could update, same issue. I am using HDMI (some people apparently had issues with displayport, but I'm not using any). I tried going from my GPU's (rtx 3070) port to the motherboard, still no output.

Other than that, the PC will boot into Windows 11 and operate normally. I tried using the restart into uefi utility but I did not have success as there was still no video output. I tried restarting while holding shift, it didn't work. I am at my wit's end, what else can I try?

Have you tried disabling the igpu in the bios ?, is the bios updated to the latest 1.14.AS15 ?

Unless there is a way to disable the igpu with no video output, I can't do that. I guess I COULD do it blindly if I had a visual guide but it'd be risky.

I updated the bios to the latest version through the flashback. At least I think I did (I downloaded the latest version on the website and put that in the usb stick).

sorry wasn't thinking clearly there, I would clear the cmos using the 2 jumper pins on the motherboard...

latest bios was uploaded yesterday 08/02/23

Checked the version I downloaded, it was indeed the one from yesterday. (1.14 AS15)

I tried both jumper reset and taking out the gpu. The end result was the same (it should be noted that I got no video output at all from the motherboard's hdmi port).

I cannot think of much else to try , other than a different cable, but as you say it works in windows, time to reach out to tech support there pretty good to be honest...

Regards

Check this post below, you are not alone. All versions after 1.11 have the same problem, including "1.14.AS15", "1.18.AS04" and most recent "1.18".

stay at 1.11 for now and report your issue to asrock using this link,
