Hello,

I'm having issues with cr2032 on my board, maybe someone have a clue.
here it is :

So, my battery died.
I ordered a new one, installed it, and the problem is still here : time and date reset + some motherboard conf resetting at every boot.
I tested the battery with a voltmeter and it is ok.

I thought my board was dead and I bought a used one.
I received it with not battery, so I put the new one. But I have the same problem !
I bought another cr2032 and installed it, andthere is still the issue.

recap : 2 boards, 2 cr2032. CMOS reset at every hard boot on both.

Is there something that I'm missing ?
thanks guys.

Are you putting it in the right way up? The flat side should be up and the button
side down. Sorry if this seems like a silly suggestion but you would be surprised
how often I have seen them installed upside down.

Hoo Thank you for your answer and sorry for the lag in mine...
Couldn't find my post.

I can't mess with the battery physical setting as it is a 2-Pin Connector.
I tried to plug it in the wrong way but I can't :D
You can see here the connector on the board : https://imgur.com/a/53UZbDh

I was wondering if there was any physical this to do on the board. As with juppers on older boards.

Thank for your help, I appreciate

You were right!
I had to unmount the 2 pin connector and inverse the 2 wires...

It's the Asrock support that told me so.

I am really happy I found this post. I really tried everything. Who could have guessed that you need to inverse the two wires from the battery? This can't be normal? Construction error?

I have the exact same problem. So what did you do to fix it? You say to inverse the red and black wires but I'm not tech savvy enough to know how. Am I required to solder or something?
