| I recently bought an MSI Mag Coreliquid 280r which is making a very loud beeping noise. Some people suggested lowering the Pump speed through BIOS, which did not work for me. I have plugged it into the correct W-Pump header and set it to W-Pump in BIOS . I also set it to DC since it's a 3-Pin Header (also tried PWM or Auto to see if it does anything to no avail). When trying to go below 60% it just goes back up to 60%. Going above 60% works perfectly fine though. I am on a b550m Steel Legend. |

Mine is a 4pin pwm, after set in bios to AUTO, it would go down below 60%, I've currently set it to 10% = 1800rpm in my case. 100% is 4200rpm, not noisy at all, but I don't want to shorten the pump life, hence idling PC is 10% = 1800rpm then 70C cpu will up pump tp 3000rpm. Doesn't it need to have 4 pins in order to set the rolling speed? Can a 3 PIN PWM header set the speed? |
