so my second hand pc kept going in reboot loop after i connected a wifi dongle a few days ago. some people said i could try to remove and reapply thermal paste since my cpu was running hot and i just did now it won?™t turn on. the fans doesnt try to spin at all. i have tried unplugging gpu, ssd and hdd, tried switching ram and still didn?™t work.
i get error code A2 when ssd is in and when ssd isnt it goes to bios where it says the cpu is 94 celsius.
the only thing i havent checked that i can think is the cpu altough i removed and reapllyed new thermal paste.
pc specs
cpu: i7-4790k
mobo: asrock c226
ram: ddr3 2 2x8 gb
gpu: EVGA 1050 ti

Wifi dongles, are a burdon on any board, AMD and Intel, and on all brands. The Transceiver chip uses the same frequency as, with which USB3 communicates, and can basically render all USB ports, out of use. When a CPU cooler is fitted properly a CPU should never overheat, I would say max 75 to 80 degrees, if it goes above, it is almost certain a cooler that is not fitted properly But for support, You should use the support form for ASRock Rack https://event.asrockrack.com/tsd.asp" rel="nofollow - https://event.asrockrack.com/tsd.asp Check Your spam fol;der for replies
------------- Kind Regards
