Hardware spec AMD Ryzen 9 7950x3d Adata XPG Lancer 2x16GB 6000MHz @ 3600MHz Nvidia GeForce 3080 10G Adata XPG Gammix S70Blade 2TB x2 ASRock Pro RS X670E currently with latest bios 1.21 [tested with all bios versions] Problem: When SPI TPM is enabled, (any) Linux cannot boot. Windows 11 works fine with the SPI TPM module active but nothing can pass grub (even fedora with secure boot active) I've been messing with the firmware EnableSPITPM.efi found at https://www.asrock.com/mb/spec/product.asp?Model=TPM-SPI#Firmware" rel="nofollow - https://www.asrock.com/mb/spec/product.asp?Model=TPM-SPI#Firmware but got stuck there because UEFI cannot load more than two efi Weirdly Ventoy works fine but cannot boot any iso after that. Is it possible to pass the firmware EnableSPITPM.efi before that? Thanks in advance! |

| just for additional information: there are no messages while trying to boot linux using SPI-TPM route. there is no post. just a blank screen. mobo's red led are off too. |

Unfortunately I can't offer you solutions, in my case with X399/fTPM no problem to boot fedora 38 and Win11 but very interesting your OP Considering that waiting for a useful answer here may be delayed due to lack of similar experiences, why not request support from ASRock? https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp I have never requested support from ASRock about Linux but it is time to do so, in 2023 with kernel 6.2 and latest AGESA version the command 'dmesg | grep -i tpm' shows the same errors for years. Looks like I am having the exact same issue here. Currently I am working around the problem using fTPM, but would prefer to be able to use the SPI module. Have you contacted Asrock yet by any chance? Cheers |

I've also run into this issue, I wish I had seen this thread before purchasing. Similar to your ventoy issue, I am able to load the systemd-boot bootloader but it won't switch into my Linux install. |

| Kernel commandline option at least "acpi=off" allows me to boot my Linux with the SPI TPM. |

Hi, good to hear that there is something being done about this issue. I would rather not disable ACPI. Any chance this will also be made available for other mainboards (I am using a A620M-HDV/M.2+) as well? Preferably by being included into a "normal" release. I haven't tried the new 3.01 release yet but I am not expecting it to make a difference anyway. Thanks |

Just as a heads-up, this seems to be working now on my A620-HDV/M.2+ using the 3.06 BIOS. No idea if it was 3.01 or 3.06 that fixed it, as I upgraded directly from 2.10 to 3.06. One little annoying issue is that the normal short high pitched POST beep is now one short lower pitched one (like in error codes), but not a huge problem ;) |
