Hi all, just saw another BIOS drop 10.01 [beta] I was thinking about updating but I'm really against using a beta BIOS, is it really safe to flash? I'm still on 5.10 with my 5800X3D. I'm going to take a guess all new BIOS for the x470 will just be in beta because of it's age and not be official?
Thanks

Me personally don't mind BIOS revisions that are marked "beta." But I did learn my lesson to let it sit for about a month before updating, just in case they release something else again.
I see you're on AGESA 1.2.0.7.
I think 1.2.0.A is just some security fixes. No idea what 1.2.0.8 fixed. Since nobody releases details, we're all kind of lost together.
It's really up to you, but I don't notice any differences everyday usage. Maybe just let it sit for a few months and if they still don't release a non-beta BIOS, then update?
I noticed you have LG WH16NS40. I actually tried to buy that, but the shipment got lost and I got refunded. After that, I learned that the hardware is actually all the same, so I ended up buying two new WH14NS40 and updating the firmware to LibreDrive capable WH16NS60 1.03 firmware. Both drives are now recognized as WH16NS60 and I haven't had any issues with them. But I'm obviously not saying you should do anything crazy like what I did.

OK, I think I will wait a month or so and see if moves out of beta. Yes I'm still on 1.2.0.7 but maybe I can just leave it, if it's only security updates. I only use my PC for gaming mostly :D Yes I have the LG WH16NS40 blu ray burner, used to use it a lot, and used to buy 100GB discs when the prices were cheap on ebay. Oh that's great, simple firmware upgrade and you have a whole new drive pretty nice. I'm not going to update my firmware, I'm on 1.02 I think and I read online that going higher the performance of the drive just sucks :D

I believe it's just security updates. I just sent a tweet to ASRock asking about the changelog and when this bios will move out of beta.

I just noticed that 10.01 beta was taken down from the bios update list. Maybe there as an issue?
