Hello there. To sum it up quickly, i have a ryzen 2600 and an x370 pro 4. I want to update to the latest version of the bios ( i am still at 4.60 ). I want to do that in order to be able to use SAM with my AMD GPU ( 7900 xtx ). As there is no SAM option in bios with my current bios version. I don't see any warning under the 7.xx bios for Pinnacle Ridge. I want a confirmation that i can update to the 7.00x bios without risk. Thanks. |

A bit off topic, but that RX 7900XTX is quite a monster to pair with an R5-2600. I can imagine that CPU being a bottleneck to the GPU in a lot of situations, but maybe your use case doesn't require a fast CPU. I don't know where you live, but if you can pick up an R5-5600 on sale, I think it would really bring that GPU to life. Maybe you live near a MicroCenter and can get a 5600X3D or something, too. But obviously, I don't know your situation. I just thought that the CPU/GPU combo is a bit lopsided. |
