Following components in system:
4. Motherboard: ASRock B650E Steel Legend WiFi
8. Memory Module 1: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB CMT64GX5M2B6000Z40 9. Memory Module 2: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB CMT64GX5M2B6000Z40 10. Memory Module 3: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB CMT64GX5M2B6000Z40 11. Memory Module 4: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB CMT64GX5M2B6000Z40
How to control RGB leds of RAM/memory sticks ?
So far I tried: 1. iCue, doesn't seem to work. 2. Asus Armory Crate + RGB Memory Plugin for ASUS AURA SYNC, doesn't seem to work. 3. ASRock Motherboard Utility doesn't have RGB options. 4. ASRock Polychrome RGB (seems to do something, but mostly turns the RAM modules into one color... ?!?)
Are there any other options ?
Also is there a way to get the original rainbow effect without restarting the system or removing the ASRock software ?

The following happened:
I installed iCue yesterday but did not reboot the system, rebooted it today. iCue did not seem to detect the RAM lights.
Installed all the software above.
Went into bios changed nothing.
Went into polychrome RGB, tweaked some settings.
Did two reboots.
iCue seems to detect the RAM lights now...
Started polychrome rgb, a red arrow appeared in iCue after starting it again.
After a while a hint message shows up. iCue stopped receiving data from memory ram etc.
Rebooted it again. This time I did not start polychrome rgb, auto start is on off.
Now iCue is properly detecting the ram and I can play with the lights !
Pretty cool !
Problem seems solved, but too early to tell, I will experiment some more with these fun lights ! ;)

Hmmm the irony is the lights looked best without all this software haha !
I think without the software it does something special !
The effects rainbow and such get close, but it's not quite the same hmmm...
Kinda sucks a bit, I want the original ! ;)
I guess disabling iCue from starting up might fix it and give original lightning.
Though I do see how some more "advanced" lighting could be created by "stacking layers"... with each layer a dimm could be selected...
I play with that first, after that I want the original lighting back ! ;)

OK, the non-software lighting is definetly different and much better/more interesting to look it, glad it's back ! ;) =D

Just to document this properly, is kinda hard, because there are many options.
The best way to get the most spectacular effect is to disable all iCue corsair services in Windows. This will allow the motherboard/bios/prospect 700r/some kind of hardware to take over the DRAM settings, without these services running the RGB can no longer be controled by corsair software or any other software, this gives the most spectacular rainbow running downwards, all kinds of colors and must interesting to look at because it's very diverse yet smooth and shading.
Other things tried: polychrome... it can control the ram leds it has some functionality.
Other thing tried: armory crate from asus, cannot control the lights.
The DRAM also has something special "device memory mode" on or something then it will remember it's setting and run that without services running, or some of them, but when all are stopped, the hardware seems to take over.
In case you can't get it working and the lights stay off, make sure in bios of motherboard it says to have leds/rgb on etc.
Currently the dram lights seem somewhat out of phase, a restart/reboot might help to get them back in line or just leave as be... but it seems a bit off right now..
Dim 3 seems to be out of phase with rest... a bit strange... I will try one restart and see what happens :)
This was kinda hard to figure out, took me two days sort of... gave up on first day, but I can remember disabling iCue service in the past and the effect came back.
Kinda weird that one has to do that. I also did some polychrome rgb update because it's driver was vunerable and had to be updated, not sure if this had any effect, probably not, but not sure.

I did on last test:
Restarting windows did not have any effect on the RGB lights and then just stayed on and continue the cycle.
Shutting down power and restarting computer from cold boot, did have an effect and the rainbow was immediately apperently, but then the colors start cycling again... so seems normal, but maybe a shutdown and restart after playing with all these software effects might help/affect it to keep it in a certain way but probably not, this is probably normal that it starts cycling in a certain way.
I wonder what is the source of the effect, motherboard/bios ? or build in lighting per dram stick ? probably bios/hardware I think cause others should they not stay in sync, unless there is a slight timing difference per stick, maybe on purpose, but it does it in a certain way, dim1,dim2,dim3,dim4 could also be an electrical delay, not sure but for now I think it's "master" controlled by bios/mb, but electrical time difference might be true too hehe, the mystery remains ! ;) :)

One last note: Everything at medium/middle speed looks best.
