I'm getting this error when booting "Intel Lan Mac addresses are invalid on both CMOS and Flash" I've tried using the mac tool here: Intel Lan Mac addresses are invalid on both CMOS and Flash but it's not compatible with windows 10. Any help? My motherboard is the H170M Pro4

No link to a MAC address tool in your post. Looks like your copy and paste buffer was not updated. Have you tried clearing the UEFI/BIOS? You may need to remove the board's battery to clear the UEFI/BIOS memory. To anyone with this situation: Does your PC boot after you see this message? Does your networking work? Do you have Internet access? What kind of Internet service do you have? Are you connected directly to a router? Did you run the Troubleshooting feature available from Windows Network and Sharing Center? Did you install the Chipset/INF files, the INF driver ver:10.1.1.12 from your board's download page? Its BIOS/UEFI problem... i will try create DOS bootable drive and run MAC Address Writer today. At startup you get the error message and it tells you to hit F1 to continue or F2 for BIOS. When you hit F1 everything boots and runs normally. It doesn't seem to affect anything, it's just annoying. The answer to all the other questions is yes. I really think we just need a MAC Address Tool that's compatible with Windows 10. |

It seems to occur when people use the backup BIOS and flash it back to the main BIOS. It would seem that the mac address entered in the BIOS B does not match the board in some cases. Likely this is because it is impossible to flash BIOS B so during the assembly process it remains without it's board specific information (mac address in this case). -------------
