Hello people might need your insights,

I've just built a PC for my parents and there is no display, no beeps, fans are spinning and since this motherboard doesn't even have a LED indicators of any sort it's super hard to diagnose.

Tried the usual shenanigans

- Took it all apart and assembled again, reseated everything
- CMOS battery, short too
- RAM, booting with only one stick
- Different HDMI cable, tried DP cable also, tried dedicated graphics
- Tried minimal config even without the SSD

The last thing is a BIOS flash but since again this motherboard is so basic the only way to do it is with an older Ryzen CPU which I don't have.

Any ideas? Probably have to buy idk Ryzen 3200 or smth and try this last thing.

Thanks

Specs are

A520M-ITX/ac
Ryzen 5700G (also tried video output on a 6600 XT)
32gigs of 3200CL16
512gigs Crucial NVMe
EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G3

(All the parts are reused and tested working, only the CPU is new an open-box)

Can you see if there's a sticker on the BIOS chip indicating the version the board was shipped with? Asrock site says 5700G support starts at BIOS version 1.60, which is weird since 1.60 isn't even listed in their BIOS list! And their BIOS list says 1.30 added 5000G support. Ahh, smell of corporate incompetence...

Anyway, I think it'd be good to know if the board currently has an old BIOS that doesn't support 5700G.

Unfortunately there is no sticker... however I've asked a friend who passed me the mobo it was in some pre-built with 4350G PRO originally, which needs a 1.10 so there is a chance that it's on that BIOS.

I was brainstorming and came up with a solution where I buy a 3600 which is supported by all the BIOSes, flash the BIOS and then just return the chip in a 14-day RETURN window ez strat.
