Hi,

I'm new to this forum trying to find out whether wake-on-lan (WOL, magic packet) is supported on any of the 10Gbit LAN ports of the X99 WS-E/10G mainboard.

The manual and technical data sheets specify that the board supports WOL but it does not say whether this is true for the 10Gbit ports or only for the 10/100/1000 Mbit ports.

Since this question is vital for our server development plans and direct contact to support is only possible with serial numbers etc. (which of course I do not have before deciding to use this board for our servers) I'm now trying to find out through this forum and maybe some user or support person could answer this question.

Best Regards
Confused

Hmmm,

I hoped that at least someone from AsRock support would read the posts but it seams that this is not the case and nobody knows the answer. Unfortunate since I then have to look at other brands and products.

Best Regards

Sorry I couldn't help, I am not familiar with the board so couldn't tell you what you need to know. While this is the Tech Support section of the forums it is not ASRock's official Tech Support, it is more a place for the community to help each other out. "ASRock_TSD" (ASRock's Tech Support rep on the forums) does check in from time to time but usually only to post important fixes/updates.

You could try send a Support request but with Computex going on now it may take a while to get a response.

Thanks for your help Xaltar,

I'll try to find other ways to find out or look at other brands instead.
Best Regards
