New build on first boot presents "no such partition" Grub reccue

System Win 7 64 (attempting)
z170 MB
i5 CPU
8Gb HyperX RAM
500Gb HDD WD cav blue (brand new)

On start "F11" - keyboard responding

Forced boot using UEFI DVD option and standard DVD boot

System loads Win 7 all looking normal and then KB/mouse stop reponding no matter which port they're in.

Any suggestions please?

Take a look at http://www.asrock.com/microsite/win7install/" rel="nofollow - this , it should have all the info you need to get the system up and running on Windows 7. The problem is that Windows 7 does not have native USB drivers for the Intel 100 series chipset, the link I posted contains all the info you need to correct this.

Thanks for that I'd have struggled all day with that one as i had no clue what was going on... Supplemental though even afer removing anf formatting (NTFS) the drive it still reporded as "grub error" which is more commonly associated with Linux OS.

Anything I need to know about this or any reason that you are aware of at all?

Thanks
GK

Grub is definitely Linux related to the boot manager. Did the drive previously have Linux on it? Is the drive new?
Have you tried "delete" from the Windows custom installation menu once the drive appears?
