Hi,
I just bought from amazon an H81 pro btc Asrock Motherboard, Intel G3240 CPU, 1 ram memory crossair ddr3 with 8 gb, old SATA hard drive, and EVGA 1000 w PSU, I plugged everything together (as it has to be, pretty sure about it, as I have done it before) I am not using case so I jump the power button for a 2 seconds I can hear a glitch from the PSU and the fan start running but the runs for a second and stop working...
I can`t see any image at monitor, the led color won`t even change. No led on keyboard, PSU is totally fine, I use it with another computer, I have tried 2 different ram memmory, CPU used 2 differents, same model, I have tried clearing CMOS, I think problem might be with old BIOS version, however I tried with another CPU (G1840), same result... What I am feeling is that I locked some how the motherboard when placing a not supported CPU (Beause BIOS version) and I need to unlock it...
Any thought?

I forgot a few details... the Intel G3240 I tried 2, both of them as the motherboard were brand new, I tried 2 different mother boards, same model, one start the fan second I hear the sound but fans doesn`t move, the CPU 1840 was working on a different motherboard, with no problems at all, after was tried on my motherboard it didn`t turn on again... Also my G3240 was tested on the motherboard where was the G1840, and of course, did not turn on again... I tried 2 more motherboards and same thing happen... Of course I don`t want to try anything else, so far I feel I lost 5 motherboards, 3 CPU and a lot of time...
Would appreciate any advice different than burn everything and buy different one.

In all of your attempts to get the board and CPU started, you did not mount the board in a PC case, is that right? What are you using, a test stand or a table with the board on the table?
If you have the board sitting on the bag it came in, those bags can be conductive, for static protection, and if touching the bottom of the board, can short out pins.
So every "new" board you tried starts for a short time, and then shuts off. I assume "stops working" means the board shuts off. It then never starts again, right?
A new board with a new CPU (new build) will normally start and run for a few seconds, then shut off. A few seconds later the board will start again and start the POST process. I assume this would be the same when starting the board with a switch on a PC case, or shorting the power switch terminals as you are doing. But I've never done the short the power switch terminals trick on a new board, so who knows?
You mentioned, "... one start the fan second I hear the sound but fans doesn`t move...". The fan you mention, is that the fan on the CPU cooler? I don't understand, "... I hear the sound but fans doesn`t move".
Both the G3240 and G1840 processors are Haswell Refresh (Haswell-R) processors, that require BIOS version P1.50, according to the CPU support list:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H81%20Pro%20BTC/?cat=CPU" rel="nofollow - http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H81%20Pro%20BTC/?cat=CPU
The BIOS version your boards have are printed on a sticker on the BIOS chip. The BIOS chip is on the right side of the board, a few inches above the SATA ports at the bottom of the board, and to the right of the chipset heatsink. Normally the board should not shut off if the BIOS version is not compatible with the processor, the board would stay on but nothing else would happen.
If you seem to be killing either the board, processor, or both, something in the way you are assembling the system (not in a PC case, right?) might be the cause. For example, the 4/8 pin 12V ATX CPU Power connector must have a cable from the PSU connected to it. Some older power supplies had 8 pin video card cables that could plug into the CPU power connector. The +12V and ground terminals are reversed on those two cables, so could cause damage to the CPU voltage regulators, and/or the CPU. Or again, shorting pins on the underside of the board, if it is not in a PC case.
I'm wondering how Amazon is getting any stock of this board, released in 2013. I guess it is possible, the board is included in the Current (in production) list.
Are you sure the boards are new, and sourced from Amazon itself? Some Amazon stock comes from other companies, and individual sellers.

Ok, when I said the fan doesn`t move, is fan cooler and the fan from the psu. I always test the motherbord on the table itself or on the red plastic that comes protecting the board below.
From the 5 board I have tested, 3 of them sais on BIOS 1.5 and other 2, 1.3. If the BIOS is 1.3 and not supported the only way to update the BIOS is with a different CPU? that sounds terrible to me... anyway 1.5 didn`t work either...
I understand that some cpu cables can come with ground cables in reverse, if that were the case, I might think that using the reverse cable should just not work, but burn the CPU? I don`t think so... maybe I am wrong.
So, I am not sure what should I test now... Should I return the boards? or CPU? or both of them? To me seems to be defective, what I see dificult is 5 defective motherboards...
