I am not an expert. New hardware build, w11 installation worked ok. I made the mistake as the last step to flash the bios from 1.21 to 2.08.

Used the flashback method described in https://www.asrock.com/support/QA/FlashbackSOP.pdf" rel="nofollow - https://www.asrock.com/support/QA/FlashbackSOP.pdf
(could not set the FAT32 allocation unit size as small as 16 kilobytes).

After a long period of flashing led the led turns solid green indicating Bios Flashbak is not operating properly.

Now the MB seems bricked, upon turning the system on the screen stays dead (2 red leds keep burning)

I tried clearing the cmos using a jumper and tried a flash with the orginal version 2.12.

Are there any options to restore the bios??

I would try flashing using USB flashback function again.

I would use different pendrive/s.

I used the USB flashback when i first received my motherboard as it was not booting at all - one pendrive didnt work at all, the second worked w/o problems and the MB works no problem 9 months now.

Good tip, but it didn't work for me.

After clearing the CMOS by even removing the battery I tried 3 different usb pen drives.

After a few seconds of blinking green led the led turns solid green ... e.g. no success.

well, if you renamed the unzipped bios file to "CREATIVE.ROM" and it doesnt work on different fat32 formated pendrives then unfortunatelly i dont think you can do anything more with it and should RMA

Try formatting as fat16, I had to do this once with my x670e taichi...

All other times I've formatted as fat32 as in the instructions, so worth a try

I have now tried fat also, no succes, I decided to RMA.

P.S. I don't think the USB drive is the problem because the first attempt the green flashback led flashed I think 5 minutes before the led went solid green.
New attempts the green led went solid green after a few seconds.
