I recently purchased G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory to double my RAM from 16gb to 32gb. However it didn't work in my motherboard ASRock X99 Extreme3 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard.

After doing some reading I found out that my motherboard http://www.i.imgur.com/QO72BgO.png" rel="nofollow - only accepts 4 sticks if it's all the exact same. I previously had Crucial as well.

So I purchased some more G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory. However now I can only detect 2 at a time.

It was detecting the 2 G.Skill in slots 3&4, then I removed 3&4 so it detected 1&2. I then put 3&4 back in but it only detects 1&2. Basically it preferences whatever was previously alone in the computer.

Basically all slots work and all sticks work but it's staying on dual channel. Is there a way to manually switch it to quad channel memory?

X99's seem to be very very finicky concerning memory.

Glad to hear you solved it.
