Does the A520M-HDV motherboard need a dedicated graphics card? I have a AMD Ryzen 5 4500 and when I boot up the pc beeps 5 times and no video. I think it is looking for a GPU but the board has video ports built in so I'm confused.

Whether you need a discrete GPU depends on what CPU you use.
If you use a CPU with an integrated GPU (iGPU), then you don't need a dedicated GPU. If you use a CPU without an integrated GPU, then you do need one.

Ryzen 5 4500 does NOT have an iGPU, so you need a discrete GPU.

Technically, Ryzen 5 4500 has an iGPU, but it's fused-off from factory, but I probably shouldn't have written this statement, as all it does is to add to confusion.

The closest relative of Ryzen 5 4500, but with an iGPU ENABLED, would be the Ryzen 5 4600G.
