Subject: X99 Taichi only 48GB detected, 64GB installed

On my X99 Taichi, I have 64 GB of memory Installed on all 8 slots of the motherboard.

The BIOS detects only 48GB in Tri channel mode. Updating the BIOS to 1.40 detected only 48GB DDR4.

The RAM works fine, I checked each stick of the RAM individually using the same slots on the motherboard (A1-B1-C1-D1).

Is there any BIOS setting that will allow me to detect all 64 GB memory???  Will a future BIOS update detect all 64 GB?

I made a mistake of NOT using Corsair memory finder before buying the RAM, for compatibility with X99 Taichi. Looks like its not officially supported.

CPU: Intel Core i7 6800K
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB (8 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2133MHz (PC4-17000) C13

Thank you!

I was able to get all 64GB detected by slowing the CAS latency from C13 to C16   :)

Hopefully Asrock will support C13 in a future BIOS update !!!!

Corsair markets that memory as compatible with X99 systems, so it should work with any of them.

The memory controller is part of the CPU, the only thing the board needs is a compatible UEFI/BIOS.

Did you try increasing the DRAM voltage with all that memory? Increasing the VCCIO and VCCSA offset voltages will help with "missing" memory. That's what happens when the memory controller cannot handle the load of all that memory, eight DIMMs is a lot to deal with.

Did you compare the actual DRAM voltage with the UEFI DRAM voltage setting?

Would not help anyway. X99 Taichi is not listed in the Corsair memory finder.
