Hi all,

Just received my new AsROCK BeeBox and plugged it all.
Connected it to a Samsung LCD display via HDMI and... No sound (video is OK).

I noticed that there are no audio drivers on the Beebox and that 'speakers icon' on windows 10 comes with  an 'X' mark.
The playback menu is empty.

To me it seems that I missing the audio drivers. Where can I get these drivers?
Are they 'RealTek' based? Or Intel HDA?

How can I know if my mother board is intel or AMD wintout opening the beebox ?

HDMI is an all digital interface, video and audio. The digital audio connections include standard stereo PCM (CD audio), Dolby Digital, DTS, and DSD (SACD), among other digital audio formats.

So unless your monitor has a digital to analog converter (DAC) in it, which converts the digital audio signal to analog, before routing it to an amplifier and speakers, it won't be able to use the digital audio signal from an HDMI cable.

What is the exact model number of your Samsung monitor? If it has a built in DAC, then it can deal with at least some digital audio formats. Otherwise it cannot use the digital audio signal from an HDMI cable. Have you used an HDMI cable connection to that monitor in the past, and you had sound from its speakers?

If the monitor has a built in DAC, then either your audio is not configured correctly, or you don't have drivers installed, or both.

The Intel graphics driver also has an audio driver included. Beebox PCs should provide the Intel audio capabilities as well as the RealTek audio chip. But you must select/configure which audio source you want to use. The Windows Sound option in Control Panel is where that is done. Neither of these audio sources will change the way HDMI only provides a digital audio signal.

You simply said you have a "Beebox" PC, there are multiple models, such as the Beebox-S, so I just chose the plain Beebox download list:
