The BIOS is not the issue, that CPU has is supported on the launch (current) BIOS. Have you tried clearing CMOS? I know it's tossed out there a lot but it quite often resolves issues. Also make sure the GPU is seated firmly in the slot, the Taichi uses steel covered slots so they may be a little tighter fit than you are used to. I know it isn't much but let us know if any of this helps. -------------

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't think it was the issue either as all other evidence suggests otherwise.. I've cleared the CMOS more times than I care to say.. but I did it with the Clear CMOS button on the back of the I/O. Better bet to use the jumper, remove the battery and leave it sit for a while? I've made sure that the GPU is seated firmly in the slot. Like, I can't push it down any further and the clip is already clipped down too. One thing I did read is that someone said they got video on theirs with using a 1080p monitor (granted, different motherboard, but still ASRock). I only have a 4k TV and a 2k monitor, but I have the ability to borrow a 1080p monitor. Possible problem? I feel as though I should take it out of the case and put it on a bench since it seems like there is going to be a lot of moving/removing of parts... ------------- ?śWe all know that light travels faster than sound. It may be worth trying to connect it to a DVI monitor and see if that works. What are you connecting the monitor to, DVI, HDMI or Display Port? -------------

Okay, so I got past the 99 post code. Still no video, running with 1 ram stick in slot 1 and the video card, CPU, CPU cooler and everything else hooked up. Stuck on the A2 code which has to do with a problem with ide and or sata devices. The SSD has never been formatted. Bought it brand new from Newegg so that I could completely start fresh. I have literally no idea what I just did, but I got a successful boot. I plugged stuff in one at a time, still getting code after code. I think it may have been the unformatted SSD. Since after I formatted it with the other computer, it start having more progress. Trial and error is all I can say.. plus I switched over to a DP port. ------------- ?śWe all know that light travels faster than sound. Glad you have it going now. Let us know if you need anymore help. Dr Debug displays the many POST codes of each procedure in the POST process. The codes are not error codes, they simply identify which procedure is currently running. If one of the POST tests fails, the code of that test is displayed continuously, and the POST process stops. That code is then a clue about what is wrong. The only time seeing a POST code displayed is not good, is if you don't hear the single POST Ok beep (if you have a POST beep speaker connected, and that option enabled in the UEFI) and the code remains displayed. If you can get into the UEFI/BIOS UI, POST has completed successfully. You might see the last POST code displayed while using the UEFI UI, but it doesn't mean there is a problem.
