Is Asrock plannning to create a BIOS update for Kaby Lake on  ASROCK Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Gaming i7 ? This is already done for many Z170 boards and I'm wondering why this is not yet the case for ASROCK Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Gaming i7.

Thanks in advance for your answer.
Best Regards.

http://www.asrock.com/news/events/IntelNextGen1151/" rel="nofollow - This is the list of boards that currently have a BIOS update to support Kaby Lake. I can't say with certainty but I am fairly sure there will be more updates coming. If you would like to know more about your board in particular you can contact http://www.asrock.com/support/index.us.asp" rel="nofollow - Tech Support directly.

HI,

Asrock support indicated me that they are working on the Kaby Lake BIOS for this board. It should be available in the coming weeks.

Why are you worried about this? Do you have a Kaby Lake processor now? They are not even listed on Intel's website yet.

The UEFI updates are not all released as once.

Of course this board will have a Kaby Lake compatible UEFI version. Why would any manufacture risk reducing sales by limiting a board's processor compatibility? That won't happen.

It comes only the Microcode 3A for Kaby Lake into the BIOS Smile

" rel="nofollow - When will be a new Bios Update for Kaby Lake for this mainboard really available? Now you can buy Kaby Lake CPU's :( I have a brand new mainboard but I'm not sure if I want to use it. If a bios update will not be available I have to return it :(
Thanks!

They've been available. Look in the BETA BIOS section of your boards d/l page.

All 7.xx BIOSes are for support of Kaby Lake.

And please. There is NO need for you to enlarge the font here. There just isn't.

:) Consider yourself warned.

" rel="nofollow - Thank you! Do you think it is not too late to install the bios when having a Kaby Lake CPU inside for the first time or will it cause trouble because I can not boot properly?

Ok got it. I just want to make the font more readable because I noticed the function when typing.

If the BIOS is not updated before you put in a Kaby Lake CPU you will not be able to post. You can either install a Skylake CPU and flash the BIOS (or have a shop do it for you) or order a new BIOS chip preflashed with the supporting BIOS.
