I have two harddrives hooked up to the motherboard and neither is detected by my dvd/cd drive is. I have tried changing settings in bios but so far nothing I have tried has worked. What do I need to set it to?

this is my set up: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qKg83C" rel="nofollow - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qKg83C  and here is what shows up in the bios: http://imgur.com/Qpyw9Yf,uPm4kXg,qDhadRc,4065I54#3

The Seagate Barracuda should be compatible with your board, it is a very well known brand/model. Have you tried different SATA cables and connecting the drives to different ports?

If it still won't detect then you should probably RMA the drive. The Optical drive is detecting so it is likely not the ports that are faulty. DOA hard disks are pretty common. If you want to be absolutely sure the only real way to check the drive is to try it in a different system.
