Hi, I'm getting package temperatures of 92 degrees with an arctic freezer 3 360mm AIO (which is working correctly and installed well).
I've just read that Intel have advised many motherboard manufacturers have disabled intels recommended bios settings to get more performance at the cost of stability. Asus and Gigabyte have released bios updates, and MSI have released tutorials on how to set the bios to Intel safe settings. Are you guys planning to release a bios with an intel default settings, or are you going to release a tutorial to show which settings to set to avoid issues?
Cheers Michael

Hi 3di,
Thank you for your post.
We just released the new BIOS for the Intel Z790/B760 model with the Intel default setting. Please take a try with the new BIOS.
All the best ASRock TSD

Thanks. Before I download it could you confirm a few things:
1. Does the new BIOS come with an option to choose between the intel defaults and your suggested defaults (what they are now)? Just in case I'd prefer the settings of my current BIOS.
2. What's the maximum safe p1 and p2 temperatures for the i7-14700k? I turned on "Load Intel Base Power Limit Settings", "DTT", "Intel Thermal Velocity Boost Voltage Optimizations " and "Enhanced Thermal Velocity Boost", and I'm now getting 87 degrees C, are long bursts at that temperature likely to cause damage or reduce the CPU's lifespan?
3. When I turn on the two CEP options, my processor becomes 20% slower. Does this mean my voltage is too low? It seems to be set to 1.016 volts in hw monitor, even though it says 1.4 in bios.
Cheers Michael

I'm rocking an ASRock Steel Lightning Wifi Z790 and just update the bios to the very latest v16.02 (2024/7/5) that highlights "Update CPU microcode to 0x125".
I have not touched the Bios settings for anything else. And I want to know if a guide is avaialable for my combination of Mobo+CPU?
Of all app I run, CyberPunk is causing BSoD for me and I'm really worried.

from what I understand, if the reason for BSOD is your Intel 13th/14th gen CPU than it is already irrevicably degraded, no microcode is going to fix it (BTW the important intel microcode update is mid next month) - you might as well underclock it. You are actully lucky, because you can try to RMA the obviously faulty unit and intel might be even aware by the serial number...

Now, I'm panicking. As I said, only Cyberpunk crashed for me. Everything else tuns fine including Skyrim with over 2000 mods and all cranked to 4k. There has to other tell-tale signs. I got my CPU from a hardware store that assemble PCs. An place not well known. Is there a dedicated link for international RMA since I'm in Middle East region?

Yeah get it sent back, that's borked.
Is there a good guide anywhere from Asrock detailing safe settings for the various bios options until the proper microcode update arrives?
I heard one youtube mention the fault is having the e-cores on the same ring as the pcores without re-design to handle the extra power requirements. For now I've disabled 7 of the e-cores, and that seems to have reduced the voltage from a constant 4.2 to 3.9 during load.
Could do with a proper guide though from Asrock.

Dead or not, I want the settings. Why is there no guide out still? Not even a basic one.
