Graphics card lights up, but fans don't spin. CPU is connected to PSU, via 8 pin connector. CPU is properly connected. I've been building gaming PCs for years so all the usual things have been double checked. I also tried plugging into the integrated graphics card and still no signal according to my display which works find on my old PC.

I don't see your RAM listed here. RAM is a common cause of post failure with DDR4 due to RAM kits being tuned for either X99 or 100 series systems but sometimes not both.

According to your website, this mobo supports my RAM
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Intel Z170/X99 Desktop Memory F4-2400C15D-16GVR

" rel="nofollow - This board has had a gob smack of BIOS updates.
In the corner where the ram slots and the PCIe slot meet is a white sticker stuck to the BIOS chip. What is printed on the sticker?
Assuming you yourself haven''t updated the BIOS, the board is new, not used, second hand nor open box, the printing on the sticker is the BIOS it came flashed with from the factory.

" rel="nofollow - Which memory slots are you using for your memory? 8GB DIMMS are normally Double Sided (DS) and should be used in the A1 and B1 slots.
Your video card's fans not spinning it likely just the no-fan needed feature when the card is idling, as my earlier EVGA 900 series cards have.
Regardless, if the memory is in the correct slots, I would remove the video card, and run the board with a minimum of connected hardware.
No mention of any connected drives, HDD, SSD, or none connected at this point?

Memory are installed in (they are the only 2 memory slots on this board. DDR4_B1 (64 bit, 288-pin module) DDR4_A1 (64 bit, 288-pin module)

After disconnecting the SSDs and going down to one 8gb memory it finally posted.

Make sure it's stable first by testing the way it booted, then upflash to the latest NON-BETA BIOS.
Use Instant Flash from within the BIOS. It's the safest means to flash with.

I doubt the SSDs were the cause of the failure to POST. My guess is the memory was the cause.
Have you tested both DIMMs individually, to make sure both work? Also check both DIMM slots, to be sure both work, in case you have a bad board.
Another cause of the memory failure could be bent pins in the CPU socket.
Are you sure your memory is the G.SKILL F4-2400C15D-16GVR? Your listing in the first post show "Z170/X99", while G.SKILL only shows Z170 boards as compatible. Or was that line pulled from PC Parts Picker?
I would connect the SSDs again with the one DIMM installed, and see if you can POST into the UEFI.
Were you really going to have two drives connected when you installed Windows? Not a good idea unless both SSDs will always be in that PC.
While I agree a newer UEFI version is a good idea, I'm not sure the latest 7.10 version is a good idea. Any of the ASRock Z170 board's 7.xx UEFI versions add compatibility for the upcoming Intel Kaby Lake processors. Some users have reported less than ideal results with those versions. My Z170 board seems unaffected, and I don't know either way about your board. But why chance it at this point since the 7.10 UEFI does nothing for you that the 2.30 version already does.
Your memory should default to 2133 in the UEFI, do you see it at that speed?

The SSDs already had W10 installed from my old machine. I pulled the part name for the memory from the Amazon listing. I tested both DIMMS and they appear to be working just fine. I installed my other HDDs and everything seems stable. I'm guessing that I may have not had the memory all the way in the slots? Thanks for the heads up on the 7.10 UEFI, I'll avoid that for now since I don't need it.

Will do, thanks for your help. I think it was the memory. Both DIMMS seem to be working fine. I'm guessing I didn't have them pushed all the way in the slot.

Nope, never
The number of times I have been flummoxed by a system only to discover I missed something super simple.

Thank you for telling us what happened.
I can only wonder how many times people discover they have done things like this, but never tell us.
