a seperate  Power LED (3 pins)  connector no.16 in the manual and also located on no 17 connector in the manual ?

Just to accommodate different styles of Power LED connectors used with a PC case.

Newer cases tend to have the single pin + and - connectors. Other PC cases may have a one piece, three pin Power LED connector. The single pin connectors can be used on either header.

Can you imagine the scandal if one out of 1000 PC cases has the three pin Power LED connector, but the board did not have a compatible header for that style?

(NOT directed towards you) Apparently some people need a power LED on their case to know if the PC is running, and an HDD LED to know if their OS drive is working. Confused  I forgot to connect those two cables once, did not notice for at least two weeks.
