" rel="nofollow - Hallo, ich habe ein Asrock Z170 Extreme 7+ Mainboard mit 10 SATA Anschlüssen (4x ASmedia, 6x Z170 PCH). Ziel war es, 10 SATA Laufwerke anzuschliessen, weshalb ich mich für dieses Mainboard entschieden habe. Leider bekomme ich maximal 6 Laufwerke gleichzeitig zum laufen, wobei ich alle Kombinationen bereits ausprobiert habe. Beim Anschluss einer 7. HDD wird eine der 6 anderen nicht mehr im Bios angezeigt. Dabei scheint es keine Rolle zu spielen ob man die 2 Controller gemischt nutzt oder erst den einen voll besetzt und dann am 2. Controller mehr Laufwerke anschliesst. Immer ist bei 6 schluss. Auch habe ich verschiedene Geräte angeschlossen: nur HDDs, gemischt, HDDs mit SSD & optischem Laufwerk. Das ganze habe ich nur mit Nutzung der Onboard Grafikkarte getestet und die PCIe Steckplätz sowie die M2 Slots sind nicht belegt (wegen lane-sharing). Gibt es eine Möglichkeit die 10 SATA Anschlüsse zu mutzen oder warum hat das Board dann 10 Anschlüsse, wenn es eine Limitierung bei 6x SATA gibt? i7-6700K CPU, 16 GB RAM, 700W Netzteil (Stromverbrauch beim Einschalten mit 10 Laufwerken ca. 210W). Aktuelle Firmware: 7.10 Ueber erleuchtende Kommentare bin ich sehr dankbar  - silverline ENGLISH: Hello, I have an Asrock Z170 Extreme 7+ motherboard with 10 SATA connectors (4x ASmedia, 6x Z170 PCH). The goal was to connect 10 SATA drives, which is why I chose this motherboard. Unfortunately, I only get a maximum of 6 drives running at the same time, whereby I have already tried all the combinations. When connecting a 7th HDD, one of the 6 others is no longer displayed in the BIOS. It does not seem to matter whether I use the 2 controllers mixed or filling one up and then add more drives to the 2nd controller. There are always only 6 drives available. Also I have connected different devices: only HDDs, mixed HDDs with SSD & optical drive. I have only used the onboard graphics card. The PCIe slot as well as the M2 slots are not occupied (due to lane sharing). Is there a way to use all 10 SATA connectors or why are there 10 connectors, if there is a limitation at 6x SATA? I7-6700K CPU, 16 GB RAM, 700W power supply (power consumption when switching on with 10 drives approx. 210W). Current Firmware: 7.10 I am very grateful for enlightening comments - silverline

" rel="nofollow - Hallo, schon mal mit einem OS probiert (Live CD)? Vielliecht ist das nur eine Enschränkung des BIOS. already tried with a real OS (Live CD)? Maybe it`s only a limitation of the BIOS. |

Ja korrekt. Die Laufwerke mehr als 6 sind im BIOS nicht sichtbar. Zusätzlich komme ich ab 8 SATA Laufwerken gar nicht mehr ins BIOS. Allerdings hat es geklappt mit dem Betriebssystem. In Windows werden die Laufwerke angezeigt. Scheint also ein BIOS Bug zu sein. Danke. |

" rel="nofollow - Echt? Nach allem was ich gelesen habe sind SATA Kabel SATA Kabel, aber lasse mich gerne eines Besseren belehren. Auf Spezifizierungen habe ich aber nicht geachtet, da ich da bis jetzt keinen Bedarf sah. Aber vor allem aber tritt das Phänomen an 2 Baugleichen Rechnern auf. Nach 6 Laufwerken ist auch beim 2. Asrock schluss. In Windows konnte ich alle Laufwerke nach meinen Wünschen konfigurieren und nutzen. Hab auch wild die Kabel durcheinander geworfen und mal anders kombiniert... immer das Selbe. Wie äu?ert sich denn evtl. ein "unqualifiziertes" SATA Kabel in der Performance bzw. im Betrieb? |

" rel="nofollow - Naja, Aussetzer, Störungen auf dem BUS, Erkennungsprobleme usw... ?brigens, auch bei älteren Kabeln können die Kontakte oxidieren. Empfehlung: Nimm die originalen ASRock Kabel. Ich werde mal einen Schlag neue Kabel bestellen zur Sicherheit. Foto mach ich wenn ich wieder im Büro bin. Aber wie gesagt: Windows zeigt alle Geräte, auch die, die nicht im BIOS auftauchen. Danke für die Unterstützung. |
