" rel="nofollow - I am trying to use a low power J3710m motherboard for altcoin mining .
To connect 3 discrete GPU`s, i used 3 Pcie x1 riser adapters.
Only 2 GPU configurations work.
With 3 connected  the bois popps up after 30 seconds.
Is there a 2 GPU limitation ?
The GPU`s that i want to connect are 2 GTX 1060 and 1 Rx470
Thanks

Are you using powered PCIe riser adapters?

If not, you are probably running out of power from the PCIe slots for the video cards. Even though they have their own power cables, they still use power from the mother board.

The 24 pin ATX connector has only two +12V pins, that must provide power for the entire board, and CPU. Quality mother boards with three or more PCIe x16 slots will have an extra power connection to provide extra +12V power to the PCIe slots.

Also, how much memory do you have? Multiple video cards use memory set aside for their basic usage, but only so much of that memory is available. The UEFI/BIOS of some boards have an option to increase that memory amount, but I don't see that option in your board's manual.

The PCIe riser adapters are all powered +12 and +3V3  .
Only data connections are going to the GPU .
My system memory is 8 Gb.
The time it takes to enter the bios is also long. So i think it is trying to detect / initialise  and fails due to some reason.
The only option i have is to change the memory for the internal gpu, which did not help :D.
