It does this every time you turn on the PC?

Do you turn off the PSU or otherwise remove AC power from the PC after you shut it down?

If you remove AC power from the PC, and clear the UEFI/BIOS, the PC will do what you described when you apply power and turn it on for the first time.

Hi!

Not every single time.
I shut down from windows, then 10 seconds later i pressed the front power button to turn it on again. The PC turns on for a second, then off for a few seconds then turns back on normally and boots.

Did not touch the PSU switch or turn AC power off.

I will keep checking  over the next week and update. I keep trying and it's not happening every single time.

I tried something.

I have the corsair 100R Silent Case.

The on/reset button really underneath a plastic piece that is part of the fascia that you press on.

I tried and noticed that if i press "ON" and don't release it immediately, the PC will start/shutdown/restart.

If i press the "ON" button and immediately release it, the PC just boots normally.

I never liked this style of buttons. I'll watch it for a while.

I see, that sounds like the power switch is sending more than one signal to the board when you don't release it instantly. Or the PC thinks the switch not being released is another signal, since the board got the first signal, did something, and then goes back to wait for another signal. Any PC power switch is just an electrical connection type of switch, it's not like a light switch that actually connects the AC power to the lights. All the PC switch does is short out two wires that the board detects as a signal to do something, depending upon the current state of the PC. Which could be off/shutdown, or in Windows Sleep.

A higher quality switch would not do that, to just use a short, quick press of the button, and get out of there!

WOw. What a difference! It works!
I first enabled S4-S5 on my x99m Fatality Killer BIOS. ( I didn't know if It should be S5   or   S4-S5)
When I press the on button on the case, it's feels completely different. When I press I feels as if I have to hold it for 1/2 second more and then it powers on and boots normally. No shut downs. Before when I press it felt too sensitive.. too quick to power on. This works very nice now. Thank you J Z!
