Hey everyone. I am looking for some information. I had my SSD crap out on me (with my os on it) so it is time to upgrade.

I have an asrock x99 fatality motherboard. Just over a year old. I am interested in putting in a Samsung 950 PRO m.2 in. However as it is more than 6 months old there is not much information out there on if it is compatible with the chip..

I purchased one that was on the list. Got a used, DOA unit. Which was really anti climatic.
Thank for the help!

I also bought a normal SSD, as it is black friday. But it is hard to say no to those speeds.. Going to upgrade to a new 1080 after christmas so I don't need all 5 PCIE lanes.

I do see this thread. But the OP never concludes and we have a few random 1 posters claiming it does. I am hopping for a more solid answer than what I am reading there. I just want some confirmation before I take another plunge. As Black friday items are not that easy to return..

Thanks!

" rel="nofollow - Okay after a lot of research I see that the 950 pro and the 951 are the same chip. Would it have been that hard to also list the OEM and the RETAIL version of the ssd in the compatible list?
