" rel="nofollow - Trying to install a Radeon RX480 and when I do, the machine won't reach the POST stage. Without, it boots just fine.

Have updated the BIOS to the most recent version. Tried with internal graphics card disable or enabled, same result. Have tried two Radeon cards with exactly the same result. Have also tried different PCIe slots, same result.

Any ideas?

So, you can or can not enter the BIOS ?

To better help you please list out ALL the components that comprise your system by Make and P/N's.

If I disconnect the power to the Radeon card then I can enter the BIOS and the machine boots normally. With the Radeon card powered up I cannot enter the BIOS or boot the machine.

Parts are:
  • AsRock Z170 PRO4 Skylake ATX
  • Intel Core Skylake Processor i5-6500/3.2 GHz
  • Seagate FireCuda 1 TB 2.5 Inch SSHD
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3000 MHz
  • Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB GDDR5 PCIe 256bit
  • Corsair VS650 PSU

How old is the PSU? Swap another "capable' one in it's place to test that you haven't extracted all the value from the Value Series PSU. Preferably one that has a single large 12v rail to feed that 480.

Ok, I'll order another one and see what happens!

Thanks. Will report back.
