" rel="nofollow - Building my first custom rig for my son.

i5-6600K
ASrock Extreme4 Z170
Cooler Master T4 Cooler
Crucial Ballisitx 18 GB mem (2 8GB DDR4 2400 UDIMM 1.2v) Installed in A1 and B2 (tried A2 and B2 and also tried one stick only in A1)
Corsair Spec-Alpha case
Crucial MX300 SSD 2.5 SATA
Asus Dual Series 4GB Radeon RX480 (tried in all slots and removed for now)
(no optical drive)
Corsair 750M PSU
Using a basic Dell keyboard via USB

When first powered on, had the graphic card in PCIe2. it powred up and I saw the light and the fans moved briefly then stopped.

Stops and stays at Dr. Debug code 99 (ninety nine)

Tried card in all slots same thing - stops and stays on error 99.

Removed the card and trying using integrated graphics now attached to back panel DVI on the motherboard.

Even with all PCIe cables removed and card removed and all sata drives disconnected and even the front IO sata panel disconnected, trying integrated graphics on DVI it stops and stays on error code 99.

I checked the CPU and see no damage, cooler is not too tight. I see no bent pins. Resat the CPU and resat the memory...

Still stuck on 99.

Any ideas? Or should I return to the store?

" rel="nofollow - Why is everyone so quick to lay blame on the motherboard, regardless if it is an ASRock or others motherboard .........

Have you looked in the User Manual to determine what that 99 represents?

After you do, come back and reply with the part number of the component it, 99, refers to.

We'll need that PN to help you further.
