I have a problem booting now with this board. The pc turns on, as in the cpu and graphics card fans rotate, but getting no signal to the monitor, and no beeps. I have tried another working psu, graphics card, and memory sticks, but still get the same problem.Could this be down to a problem with the PCI slot, or general motherboard issue? At the moment all I have connected to the board is as follows Mainboard cpu/heatsink & fan 1 stick of Corsair xms memory 1 Asus GT640 Graphics card I have all these parts connected not in a case, but on an antistatic mat, so as to rule out the case being the issue.

Try removing the GT640 and using the onboard VGA connector. Also try the RAM in each slot in turn. If you still get nothing you can try checking the CPU, remove it, check pins and contact pads and make sure they are clean. If you need to clean contact pads use isopropyl alcohol and an earbud.
Good luck

yes I have tried everything you have listed now apart from using the vga port. Will try that. But I don't want to just rely on just the onboard graphics. Thanks anyway.

Is this the first time you are using this board with the parts you listed?
What is the full model number of your memory, and what CPU are you using?
Do you have a beep speaker connected to the board? It does not have one built in.
You may need to set the video source to PCI Express in the BIOS.
Using the onboard video is a test to see if the board will POST with the CPU and memory you have.

Is this the first time you are using this board with the parts you listed? No, these parts worked for a short time before this problem.
What is the full model number of your memory, and what CPU are you using? I have now used 2 sets so far. 2 x Corsair XMS2 CM2X2048-6400C5C 2 x OCZ Platinum OCZ2P800R22GK The cpu is an Intel 2.8Ghz
Do you have a beep speaker connected to the board? It does not have one built in. Yes it does has a "Beep Speaker". But so far It doesn't beep, including the post beep when powering up.
You may need to set the video source to PCI Express in the BIOS. At the moment I cannot gain access to the BIOS to change anything.
Using the onboard video is a test to see if the board will POST with the CPU and memory you have. I will see if I can find a VGA cable tomorrow.
Thanks for everyones help.

Did you try clearing the CMOS/BIOS yet?
What BIOS version are you using, the latest is 1.90:

Yes I have tried clearing the cmos on numerous occasions. Cannot
tell you which bios is installed, as I don't know. And as I can't access
the bios, or anything come to that, I cannot see.
Just to clarify what I have done so far. Up untill recently I have had this pc, running from new, about 1 month, old parts, but purchased new, Then
one day I turn on the pc, but all that happens, is I get a no signal
dialoge box on the monitor. The pc starts with all the fans operating
normally, that is the cpu heat sink fan, the graphics card fan and a
case fan. But there is no beep of any kind, so no post. I then took all
the parts out of the case to eliminate that as being at fault, and
connected the basic minimum on a antistatic mat. All the swopped parts
are all know to work. I have also tried all the parts in another pc, and
again they all work.
I swap out the power supply, no change, I
swap out the graphics card, no change, I swap out the memory, no change.
I then buy a new vga cable to se if using the onboard graphics will get
it to work, but again, no change. The only parts I havn't been able to
swap out are the motherboard, and the cpu.
It would seem to me
that the problem lies with either the motherboard, or the cpu, or both.
Is there any thing I can do to determine whats deffective, given what
I've done already?
Thoughts anyone?
