" rel="nofollow - I followed the guide, it's not working. Anyone have luck with this exact m.2 ssd and motherboard? I haven't found anyone that has talked about it, only people who have a 950 pro. Windows 10 will not load upon boot up, there's no windows boot loader in the bios to choose after install. I have the boot order set to UEFI: USB xxx Launch storage oprom policy is set to UEFI I tried cleaing cmos, defaulting UEFI settings. I'm using bios version 2.90M, maybe this is the wrong one? I downloaded it from Asrock website where my Z77 board is listed. I found this post at Overclock.net http://www.overclock.net/t/1598165/nvme-bios-update-for-asrock-z77-extreme-4 But I don't know if that is a safe file to update with, can anyone confirm it?

" rel="nofollow - Nevermind, I got it working with bios version 2.90Q from this link below where you can download it. http://www.overclock.net/t/1598165/nvme-bios-update-for-asrock-z77-extreme-4 I was hesitant at first because I couldn't validate the bios's legitimacy, there's no mention of it on Asrock's website in the Z77 Extreme4 section under bios updates. I used parsec's guide in the forums to install it to my m.2. http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1236 Works like a charm.

Thanks for that, but you deserve credit for not giving up. You kept on fighting through it, even with hardware that was not designed from the start to work with NVMe SSDs. I had some issues with that Beta UEFI/BIOS myself with an Intel 750 NVMe SSD. I had Windows 10 installed and running on my Z77 Extreme4 board, but I could not use the UEFI's UI directly once Windows was installed. I didn't spend enough time trying to work around it, so I don't know if I could solve that issue or not. As I always preach  NVMe SSDs are not like SATA drives, they need a different configuration in the UEFI, and the Windows installation is done a little differently. We are so used to plug and play hardware, and SATA drives being the standard way things are done. We just need to adjust our habits a bit to work with NVMe drives, that's all it takes... plus support for NVMe in the UEFI/BIOS.------------- http://valid.x86.fr/48rujh" rel="nofollow">
