" rel="nofollow - Hello, I just bought a H270 PRO4 with 2x8GB DDR4 Corsair Venegance LPX 2133 and I5-7500 I have an enermax PRO 82+ Tried many times but I cannot get the system too boot Used different combination of RAM in different slots, unplugged all external devices (HDD, SSD, DVDROM) but the system cannot boot Case fans are on, CPU fan is on as well but no display at all Any suggestion?

Please list your full system specs as well as any components that are used: i5 6600k (new) Z170 Pro4 (new) 240gb SSD (used) 400w Cooler master PSU (used) etc. -------------

Hello - H270 PRO4 - NEW - 2x8GB DDR4 Corsair Venegance LPX 2133 - NEW - Intel I5-7500 (LGA 1151) - NEW - SSD WD Green 240 GB - NEW - Enermax PRO 82+ 625 W ATX 12V v2.3 - OLD - HDD WD 74GB 7200 rpm - OLD as I said I tried all HDD and SSD and then unplugged all devices THanks

Try another PSU, that unit is over 8 years old and likely is not compatible with Haswell and newer CPUs. There was a change in the way power is handled that started with Haswell CPUs.

You MUST use both, the 24 pin and the 4/8 pin CPU power cable. If you don't have the PSU connected to the 8 pin CPU power connector, the CPU will not work at all. If your PSU does not have an 8 pin CPU power connector, a 4 pin connector will work fine. ------------- http://valid.x86.fr/48rujh" rel="nofollow">

Were you able to resolve your issue? Would be pleased to hear any good news I have very same issue, no POST, no video (both DVI and HDMI), but working CPU & GPU coolers. My config: i5-7500 (new) ASRock H270 Pro4 (new)
2x8 DDR4 Hyper-X Fury Black 2400Mhz (new) PSU FinePower DNP-550 500W (old, around 4yrs) I wonder if my PSU is a weak link, though old config with even higher power consumption works fine. Any thought what can it be? |

Given the last question that dagon73 asked, my guess is he did not have the 4/8 pin CPU power cable connected to the board, which is required. In his case, it seems the PSU itself was not the problem. I assume you have the 4/8 pin CPU power cable connected to the board? It was not easy to find information about your FinePower PSU, at least not on English language websites. That brand seems to be common in Russia, but not much elsewhere. I did find it seems to have multiple +12V rails, limited to 16A on two rails, 14A on one, and 8A on another. Those rails when combined are way over 500W, which does not include the +5 and +3.3V rails. This PSU was designed for older processors, that did not use 12V power for the CPU. What was you old PC's configuration? But it could be any number of other things that are not right. What is the full model number of your memory? Did you try your memory in the A1 and B1 slots? You said you have a video card, but did not include its information. Have you tried using the Intel integrated graphics, removing the video card? If you move your memory to the other slots, or remove the video card, be sure to clear the CMOS/BIOS before starting the PC again. ------------- http://valid.x86.fr/48rujh" rel="nofollow">

My old PC (which was reassembled once again): CPU: i3-2120, MB: GA-H61MA-D3V Memory: Hynix 2x4 (can't find frequency) GPU: Radeon HD 7770 Have a connected 4pin cpu power cable to current MB. Still can't clearly understand or find if there might be some kind of incompatibility between Memory full model number is Kingston HX424C15FBK2/16. Tried different combinations, and of course with no modules inserted at all. So it's not the case. Dedicated GPU was attached just to check fan power. Tried starting up using integrated with DVI and HDMI slots. be sure to clear the CMOS/BIOS before starting the PC again. - this is what I forgot to do. Will try to assemble everything step by step with all precautions, hope I've just made a little stupid mistake last time. Anyway, thanks for your reply! |

If you look at newegg product reviews on that model PSU you will see a fair number of DOA (dead on arrival) reports. If possible, try another PSU. Corsair are usually pretty solid but often even new parts can be defective, this is why companies/manufacturers have Tech Support and RMA departments. -------------

Hey, my name is Ralph and I'm having a similar issue. A friend of mine helped put together a computer for my friend Brian but It's not giving us any display. The parts we have are: AsRock H270 Pro4 (1151) Intel Core i5-7400 Kaby Lake (1151) Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 700W Corsair PSU Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram 2 x 8GB 2400 WD Blue SSD 120gb Everything is plugged in right. When I hit the power all of the fans and lights go on, including the GPU lights, but it doesn't send any video to the display. We tried taking out the video card and using the onboard graphics (VGA and HDMI) and both yielded the same result. The monitor itself works with other devices. I reset the CMOS using a jumper but nothing changed. I've unplugged everything and plugged it back in. I've considered taking out the CPU to make sure the thermal paste was applied correctly as I wasn't there at the time the computer was put together. |

I really hate to bump for help, but I'm going to go ahead and clear the CMOS again by taking out the battery. I'll also take everything apart and put it back together. I'll check the CPU pins to make sure none of them are bent. Assuming that doesn't work, I'll probably just assume something happened to the motherboard during the build and send it back for replacement.
EDIT: The CPU and CHA fan cables were switched. Whoops. Problem solved.

I plug out its power cable, leave it for a while, then plug it in, it then worked again. I could not understand the reason. Hi Guys i have me too same problem of black screen with my new assembled pc. Here is H270M pro4 with I5 7600K, 2x8 HyperX Fury 2133 (nr. HX421C14FB2/8), no graphic card, and Silverstone ST50F-ES230 500W. I have bought 3 pc to assemble this way and i am lost now!!! Please help! |
