Mostly everything has been fine stress testing this past week but one thing that concerns me is that the UEFI CPU temperature is in the 60-70C range, BUT when I monitor the temperature in Windows using the ATuning app, it reads ~34C idle. Should I be concerned about this? Also, several times over the past 5 days... I have come back after leaving the system in sleep mode to find that it will not restart properly. I have to completely power off and reboot. I flashed the UEFI to V1.10 last night using the network flash utility to see if anything changes. Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide me with their insight. I am wondering if I should replace any of the new components before the exchange period is up. System Specs: Z270 Killer SLI/AC Motherboard Intel 7700K CPU 4.2Ghz OC'd @ 4.6Ghz Corsair H50 CPU Cooler G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) 2x16GB MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X Graphics Samsung 850 EVO SSD 250GB Corsair RM850 850W Gold PSU Cooler Master HAF 932 Case Windows 10 64bit ------------- Regards, RD |

Yes, for some reason we have seen that both the i7-6700K and i7-7700K processors will be at least at 50C while in the UEFI/BIOS, on Z170 or Z270 boards. My i7-7700K in the Z270 Gaming K6 does that too. At least part of the reason for that is none of the CPU power saving features are active while in the UEFI/BIOS. Also, the stock/Auto Vcore of the Skylake and Kaby Lake i7s tend to be higher than other processors. What do you see as your VCore in the HW Monitoring screen? I don't have any problem waking from Sleep with my Z270 Gaming K6 board. Sometimes the mouse is unable to wake the PC from Sleep, but pressing the power button always works. If you just press the power button on the PC when in Sleep mode, what happens? Try checking the Windows Event Log after a failure to wake from Sleep, you might find an entry about why the Wake event failed. I had an older PC that had that issue, and I would get Event Log entries about a video driver not responding within the expected time period. Wake from Sleep failures are mysterious, some people have them and others don't.
