" rel="nofollow - UEFI Bios shows CPU temp at ~50C...boot to windows 10 and A-Tune utility shows CPU temp~25C.
Which should I believe?
Water Cooled with Corsair H105. CPU 6700k, Taichi Z270
Currently using on board graphics DP

The BIOS temps run hotter due to the BIOS somewhat straining the CPU. That is normal while reading temps in the BIOS directly.

Just to be clear....so I should base fan profiles on A tune temps.?

Yea, as they will more closely represent your actual operating temps.



Unless you spend hours and hours all day in the BIOS Tongue

That has been normal for the i7-7700K processor for some reason, I have seen that myself with that processor.

But your board has a Beta UEFI/BIOS that addresses this situation. My Z270 board also has a UEFI/BIOS update that applies a fix for it, and it works. I suggest you apply that version for your board if that bothers you.

When in the UEFI/BIOS, the CPU power saving options are not active, so most processors tend to run warmer while in the UEFI UI for that and other reasons.
