Hello everyone  i have this motherboard H61M-VS3 i know yeah it supports only 2nd and 3th gen cpus but i want to buy a 4th gen cpu will it work fine or with issues ? :'( advice me plzzz |

You will need a new motherboard for 4th gen CPUs as they use a different socket. Sorry, I know that's not what you want to hear

You can use any Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, and their Xeon counterpart processors on your socket 1155 board. But 4th generation Haswell processors use a different socket (1150), and have a very different way they receive power from the mother board. Even if one could fit in your board (it won't fit), the way voltage is supplied to a Haswell processor is so different your board would not be able to make it work. |
