i have bought this board unfortunately the installed bios version won´t support a ryzen 5 is it possible to install a ryzen 5 and make an update or must i buy a ryzen 7 to update?

No. The board must first be able to at lease get into the BIOS to flash. IOW, a working BIOS+CPU+MB

I was just reminded. This board has the BIOS soldered on.

You'll need to take it to a shop that has a 7 to update with



Contact ASRock on the below page. They usually charge $15.00USD for a BIOS chip that you yourself, or a shop, can change out that will be the latest BIOS revision at the time sent.

Usually. If you ask politely I wouldn't be surprised if maybe they send you one a no charge. Wink

My motherboard came with bios in version 2.3 and I could boot fine with Ryzen 5 1600x. You can still try to power it up.
