Hi,

I have an X99 WS-E motherboard and the disk activity light does not work with an M2 drive installed on the motherboard's M2 slot.  Could a BIOS update possibly fix this?  Do I need a support ticket for this or is the forum post good enough to report the problem to engineering?

What M.2 SSD are you using with your board?

My M.2 Samsung SM951 SSD will cause the disk activity LED to work, but on a completely different board.

Do you have the Good Night LED option enabled in Chipset Configuration? If you do, that will shut off the disk activity LED when the PC is on.

You should submit a support request ticket if you have this problem, here:

Good night led was set to auto, so I set it to disabled.  Still no light with disk activity.  It is a Samsung 941 SSD (this board has PCIE rev 2 x4 M.2 slot).  I will log a ticket.
