" rel="nofollow - Hello,

I have an i7 4790k and this ASRock z97 killer fatal1ty and i have hard time finding information about the way in which to overclock mycpu with this motherboard.

What i would like to know if there is a way to get more detailed information than what is shown in the UEFI in terms of what each setting in the BIOS or just the OCTweaker are doing?

i have read quite a bit about overclocking the 4790k's but the terms are slightly different and i couldn't really figure out the correspondent ones for the motherboard.

I can provide more info about how the system  is set up as soon as i get back home.

Thanks.

Sorry, no such guide exists.

Did you read about over clocking Intel Haswell generation processors, which is the type you have?

If not, that is the type you need to read about, because there are some differences compared to other processors.

What terms in particular are you not able to "translate" from what you've read?

" rel="nofollow - Yes I found a few guides online. I will follow those but first i need to figure out how to find the Cpu VID which is some sort of stock voltage put by intel for each individual chip.

In the guides they used different mobos and was shown differently how to find that.

I was wondering how to find that on the newest bios for the z97 killer mobo?

I was looking at HW Monitor and found the so called cpu vcore, is it possible that that voltage is the one representing the cpu VID?
