Hey, everyone.

Just registered to inform this. ASROCK Polychrome SYNC unable to load the lights' driver and such, ends up crashing no matter which version of the app I used (including BETA).

The motherboard I'm currently using is B550M Steel Legend. Let's hope that ASRock fixes this crash/bug issue ASAP.

Anyone else facing the same issue?

-------------
Howdy, folks!

Same problem with B550 Taichi, win11, was using polychrome v2.0.178(beta).
tried to downgrade to v2.0.171. got an error message that driver failed to update. then tried to full uninstall and install it again, still not working.

We have the same problem, alone the ASRock App Shop works. The other softwares are not working!:
- ASRock Tweak
- ASRock Polychrome RGB
- ASRock Motherboard Utility
- Blazing OC Tuner
- Restart to UEFI
It started since the last Windows 11 -update (KB5040527)26.07.2024. The windows-security said that i should contact the creator of the programmm. The Pc-builds are followed:
PC-1:
- X670E Taichi Carrara (BIOS ver.: 3.05)
- Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Radeon RX 7900 XTX Taichi White 24GB OC
- G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 48GB Kit DDR5-6400 CL32
PC-2:
- ASRock Z790 Nova WiFi
- Intel Core i7 14700K
- MSI GeForce RTX 4090 GAMING X TRIO 24G
- G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32GB Kit DDR5-7800 CL36

I have the same problem since the update of "2024-07 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040527)" the day before. I have removed the old version and installed most updated version of ASRRGBLED to run but fails again. The driver seems not work! The error messages appear whenever the system restarts.

1. Motherboard: B760M PRO RS/D4 WIFI
2. Bios: Brand - American Megatrends International, LLC.
           Version - 2.05
           Date - 9/1/2023
3. CPU: Intel Core i5 13400F
4. 8176MB ATI AMD Radeon RX 6600

Is there any official technical support that can provide instruction to resolve the problem?

Thanks.
Richard

Unfortunately, Microsoft and Asrock have to solve this. I hope someone reads this forum from Asrock.

A solution was also discussed on reddit, but it is not a complete solution...

Hi everyone with this issue with A-Utility app after latest Windows July update. I have reported this issue, and submitted a ticket. Just received email from ASROCK support, that a new BETA version of the utility will be uploaded on July 29 2024.

I have ASRock Polychrome RGB ver:2.0.182 and while it installs now without a driver error, it does not detect my motherboard at all. I get a popup with "Error 0xFFFB, No ASRock peripherals detected on this computer."

Update: using this technique worked to both remove the update and prevent the start menu bug that happens if you do it normally inside of Windows. Got it from here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/newest-windows-cumulative-update-broke-my-start/3801c5ed-3e31-4214-ac4b-91e5604d4a1f" rel="nofollow - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/newest-windows-cumulative-update-broke-my-start/3801c5ed-3e31-4214-ac4b-91e5604d4a1f

Solution 1: Uninstall the recent updates installed
1-Restart your computer while holding the SHIFT button
2-The Advanced Startup menu will open on the boot.
3-Go to Troubleshoot.
4-Now, go to Advanced Options > Uninstall Updates
5-Click on Uninstall the latest quality update and then click Uninstall quality update on the next screen.
6-When finished, reboot your PC and check if the problem was fixed

Have ASRock B760M PG Riptide Wi-Fi/Intel i5 14400
After kb5040527 Update got the driver error referring to ASRock Phantom Tuning, like several users. I also had to turn off Memory Integrigy setting.
After uninstalling update, I too had apps that would not open, and I had to reinstall Google Chrome, and Norton 360. Still that did not fix it.
I had a Macrium Reflect backup, and was restored. I promptly stopped Windows update for 8 weeks. I hope the brainiacs at AsRock, and Microsoft work this out. I hate to be at risk by not updating Windows.

ASRock is a fairly small manufacturer with a very small workforce (comparatively).
Sometimes it can take a while to get a response. Right now it seems everyone is
reeling (AMD, Intel, Microsoft, board partners etc) over recent issues and are
likely quite swamped with tickets and such. This happens sometimes when large issues
pop up that effect the entire chain from vendors to software developers.

The whole reason I am a moderator here is because ASRock has always done alright
by me. It can take a while sometimes but they always come through in the end.
A bit of an underdog story really. ASRock do a hell of a lot given how small
they are as a business. That can come with drawbacks (slow response times when
large issues arise for example) but every last one of their staff I have interacted
with is passionate and dedicated to providing the best possible products and
service to their customers.

That said, they really are no better or worse than any other major manufacturer so
choose your brand as per your needs. Sometimes ASRock has the best value, other
times not. Brand loyalty is a silly thing, get what works best and has the best
reviews in your particular use case.
