Jedi, this can be a limitation with your CPU's memory controller.  Lessen the load by instlaling one RAM stick only and enabling XMP in the Taichi BIOS.  If it works, you know that the memory controller may just not jive with your kit.  Secondly, try loosening the timings.  BIOS v2.3 doesn't have the subtiming control, but v2.34 (beta, not recommended for now) does.  I have a similar issue:  wanted to OC further to DDR4-3600 CL16 but only works with one memory stick.  No matter the voltage applied, it just won't boot.  Also, try increasing VTT_DDR a little higer than default at 0.75V and leaving the voltage at 1.35V.  Let me know if that works for you.

" rel="nofollow - v2.3 has procODT though ? (i think it does)
in which case try 60 ohms as recommended by amd tech

its wierd though as earlier today one guy on overclockersuk reported 3600 with his flarex (on the beta bios of course)

Can you share link to article where AMD recommend procODT settings for different type of RAMs?
I have DualRank Samsung E-die memory.

I tried 60Ohm ProcODT already, and that won't work.  It works as intended, ddr4-3200 cl14.  ProcODT is available on 2.30, but ONLY procODT was added.  The whole slew of subtimings was added to 2.34.  It's far more comprehensive

A2 and B2 are the correct slots for your RAM, so no need to make any changes there.

I suspect that you're not going to get your RAM to 3200 with the 2.30 BIOS. I had similar issues with my RAM not posting higher than 2400 on all BIOS version up to and including 2.30. I tried all the usual things, but it simply refused to boot if I set the speed greater than 2400.

I'm currently running the 2.34 beta BIOS. With this BIOS I can now run my RAM at its rated 3200 speed by simply selecting the XMP profile.

You basically have three options from here:
  1. Continue making BIOS settings changes in the hope of getting your RAM to run at a higher speed.
  2. Download and install the 2.34 beta BIOS and see if that allows you to run your RAM at its rated speed.
  3. Wait for ASRock to release a stable version of the new BIOS.

I have had a couple of minor issues with stability since loading the 2.34 beta BIOS, but nothing more than I've experienced when attempting to tweak RAM settings manually in earlier BIOS versions.

Even tried the 2.34 still no avail i dont known if the imc is the culprit or the bios itself..

Im currently stuck at 2400. I even tried looser timings, tried all bios from 1.1 to 2.34

If you're still running the 2.34 beta BIOS try and reset all your settings to default via the BIOS, reboot and let it boot fully into Windows. Check your timings once in Windows to make sure it's defaulted back to 2133 etc.

Reboot your PC, go into the BIOS, select a XMP profile in OC Tweaker and then Save and Exit. Let it boot into Windows again.

Hopefully this works for you.

I want to add - reset CMOS - boot to win. Then switch off fully your PSU from wall (coldboot), clear CMOS one more and then you can try change memory settings in BIOS.

This isn't limited to the Taichi. I couldn't get the Flare X's to go above 2933 on my Killer SLI A/C. Trident Z's wouldn't do it either.

From the looks of it the Bioses are pretty similar so it will just be a waiting game.

" rel="nofollow - Hello everyone, after so much testing I put to this board I managed to figure out one of the flare X 3200 was kinda defective as it would not run two ram sticks at 3200 speeds..

I switched to 1 stick and immediately it loaded 3200 speed with xmp 1 with 1.35 stock voltage.

not contented with only one stick, I returned the sticks and got the flare X 2400mhz.. I tried it with the new agesa bios 1.0.0.6    (2.34) It ran stable at 3200mhz and even 3330
timings are a bit relaxed at 20 19 19 19 55, with 1.35 volts

here is where the problem sets up.. Running multiple times of cinebench decreases the scores gradually since the bios  is in beta and not fully stable..

so I downgraded to the official 2.30 which I am currently testing at 2993 mhz because 3200 wont budge
settings are 20 20 20 20 40 , 1.35 volts 1.02500 soc,

any suggestions regarding my settings? should I keep the beta bios? thanks
