" rel="nofollow - Have had a z170 Gaming 6 for a while now. All was good until recently. I update the BIOS to 7.20, updated the .INF file and updated the ME file. All was fine - or so I thought. Now none of my games recognise my Logitech Driving Force GT anymore. I don't know if the events are connected. Driving Force is fine in device manager, fine in Logitech profiler and fine when tested - wheel and pedals work like a charm, but not of my driving games even see it as a controller option anymore - Euro Truck sim, American truck sim, Assetto Corsa, Project cars. All deny its existence.

Have reset CMOS, reinstalled windows, reinstalled games, downgraded .INF file. Nothing is working. I would look to the Logitech software as the culprit but, as I say, profiler works fine (LGS 5.10) and even have LGS 8.92 running with no bother (Logitech have two software apps 8.92 for G13, Keyboards and later wheels,  5.10 for older wheels like the DFGT - getting both to work together is a pain, but doable).

Recently installed a Rift DK2 and though the setup tool fails to see both Rift USB and HDMI connection the thing was working beautifully - even ordered new graphics card to enhance experience.

Can't remember my exact specs but here's my hardware:
Z170 gaming 6
8Mb DDR4 Ram
500 Mb SSD
1TB HD
Intel i6600K
AMD R9 380

Nothing overclocked.

Naturally I've tried all ports, no difference.

Is this a motherboard problem? A simple Logitech software problem? I'm at my wit's end. Any help would be appreciated.

SOLVED - turned out neither are my ports borked or Logitech drivers not doing their job. Culprit was Steam's BigPicture. I'd tried it out on the Rift and it adds a default controller of Xbox controller to your profile or similar. Even when exited from BigPicture, Steam thinks this is your default controller and passes the info onto the games you want to play. Removing the default controller (untick checkbox) and restarting the games allows them to re-interrogate your system and find what's actually connected. Back to using the DFGT with no problems. Hurrah!
