" rel="nofollow - I flashed 1.40 (1.0.0.6) bios on my Taichi today and am having a very very hard time posting. While it will work eventually it takes anywhere between 3-8 tries to get it to post. It'll run post codes and then hang on C0 I'll have to press the reset button and wait until it either posts or hangs on c0 again. This is with Default settings in the bios and I have pulled and re-seated the bios battery. Please note this issue has never occurred on any previous bios.

Here's a video of it. taking 3 resets to get in.

Post the hardware used, including the keyboard and the PSU along with how old the PSU is.

Mobo: x370 Taichi
CPU: R7 1700x
GPU: 1080ti Strix OC edition (ROG-STRIX-GTX1080TI-O11G-GAMING)
Hdd (boot): Seagate 600 Series 2.5" 240GB (st240hm000-1g5152)
Hdd (software):  Samsung 960 Evo 500GB (m.2)
Hdd (Storage): Toshiba HDWD110 1TB HDD
Ram: 3400 cl16 2x16GB Trident Z (F4-3400C16D-32GTZ)
PSU: EVGA SuperNova 850 G2 (Roughly 2 1/2 months old)
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Red switch Red backlit
Mouse: Logitech G602

I'd like to re-state this is an issue that ONLY happens with 2.40, 2.30 and older never happened, and I if I flash back to 2.30 the issue goes away.

EDIT: Updated the correct Ram Model number.

" rel="nofollow - Yea. I read this only happens on prior. Sometimes things happen ..........

Do you have a plain jane PS/2 preferably or USB keyboard to check with?

I don't have a PS2 Keyboard around.

I agree, some times things do happen, which is why it felt the step of going back to 2.30 before continuing trouble shooting 2.4 was necessary to ensure one of those things didn't happen.

a few guys over on overclockers uk are reporting the new official 2.4 to be LESS stable than the 2.3 or even betas 2.36

incidently your above post for ram dosnt make sense
3400 cl16 trident is not 2800c14  as that part number would be 2800 mhz ram

which one do you have ?
the reason im being maybe perdantic is they may well have very different actual chips on them
eg samsung dies or not and this issue may be down to the ram sticks

Ha good catch I did throw the wrong model number for the ram it is indeed the 3400 cl16. F4-3400C16D-32GTZ This is the correct kit. I'll update OP.

The ram is set to auto when this is happening so it should be defaulting to 2133 so ram shouldn't be the issue. I have verified that it's Samsung B die and is stable at 3200cl17 in 2.30 as well as 2.40 when it boots.
