I see that MSI and Asus have both released new BIOS with the new microcode 0x129 from intel. As a sufferer of the Unreal 5 engine stability issues and having to adjust my BIOS to compensate for the stability problem. Will ASRock be quick in releasing the new BIOS with the microcode fix?
BIOS settings
Long duration - 253 Short duration - 253
CPU Core Unlimited - Disable CPU Core Current - 307

I'm quite sure Asrock will follow soon, they where pretty quick with the 0x125 ones, so I guess 0x129 will arrive in the same fashion.

Looks like the zx125 microcid started being rolled out to bios July 5th. And was still being worked into some bios today 8/8/2024. I would assume the same response. Not sure if the have a specific order but the z790 steel legend was first for the 0x125.

Also looks like MSI/ASUS dropped their 0x125 microcod around 6/19, 16 days before Asrock stared. So again I'd expect to see asrock start dropping updates for 0x129 closer to end of August and continue through September.

Appreciated, hopefully sooner than later.

The first beta's for their z790's with 0x125 dropped on june/30 (file dated june/27) and finals on july 8th (dated july/3), to be precise. So maybe we'll see a beta a bit sooner than 16 days after Msi/Asus. I'm hoping for next week.
Now if you already have the dreaded UE5 issue your chip might already be damaged and no microcode update will fix that. If this turns out to be the case you probably have to start thinking about rma, I'm afraid.

But now for the main question, did it do anything for your unreal 5 engine crashes?

Setting the voltage settings in my first post fixed the crashes I just wanted this added protection to not degrade the silicon.
Thanks!

Nope, link is broken and there's nothing on the boards support page.

Have you tried completely clearing the browsing history. Might be worth a try.

Thanks!
I tried it on a different browser, and there it was. Strange, I've never had that issue before. In any case, downloaded and installed. Hopefully my CPU won't destroy itself now.

Hi, is the W680 bioses on the horizon? I have a W680D4U-2L2T/G5 and have been nervous and holding off some heavy workloads.

I assume by the end of the month or sooner.

Since I've installed this bios v12.01 update microcode to 0x129, it seems like the cpu is running hotter specifically under load while gaming. Not overclocking either. Default bios profile. CPU temp spikes get pretty hot, like into the 80s and 90s.
The previous bios v11.02, there was no temp issue that I saw while the CPU is under load while gaming.
I have the i7-13700KF with z790 pro rs wifi.
