Hello,

I've recently bought the TPM2-S module by Asrock for my Z97 Pro4 motherboard.
I've also updated the BIOS (2.61 [Beta]) which supports TPM 2.0.

TPM 2.0 is enabled and works fine, but the boot time is ridicoulus: 1-2 minutes instead of a few seconds. I've tried to change some settings but I had no luck.
Without the module the boot is fast as usual.
I re-flashed the BIOS as well. Should I re-flash with the module installed?

Does someone have some insight? There are a few options on "Trusted computing", but I have no idea what to change.

I'm on Win 11 with an i7 4790k.

Thank you

777N, how's your experience been? I'm considering buying a TPM unit for my Z97 Pro4 and going down the same road.

I don't think there's a solution to your question.

A solution WITHOUT a TPM unit may be this. Haven't tried it yet, others report success:

I had a similar issue with long boot times after enabling TPM 2.0 on my motherboard. One thing to try is re-flashing the BIOS with the TPM module installed, as sometimes the BIOS might need to reinitialize with the TPM enabled https://cheesechompers3d.cc" rel="nofollow - . Also, check your 'Boot' settings in the BIOS, particularly around 'Secure Boot' and 'Fast Boot' options https://thecrazycattle3d.com" rel="nofollow - , which can sometimes conflict with TPM. As for 'Trusted Computing,' you may need to toggle some of those options for better compatibility.

Reflashing the v2.61 BIOS with the TPM module installed worked (I used the instant flash), and I am no longer experiencing the five-minute-long halt during a system restart! Thank you for figuring out this solution, as that five-minute-long halt was a major pain!

In addition to the five-minute shutdown/restart delay problem, reflashing the v2.61 BIOS also solved my blank screen (only wallpaper seen) on remote desktop (RDP) problem, apparently caused by the graphics adapter! Two very annoying problems have been solved at once by reflashing the v2.61 BIOS!
